Accountr is a desk for CPAs and fractional CFOs. This page describes how we handle information when you use the product, including when you connect QuickBooks.
Account data. We store your name, email, firm name, and sign-in details (password hash, Google, or Intuit). We use this to keep you signed in and to show the right companies on your account.
Client and books data. Each company you add stays on your account. If you connect QuickBooks, Accountr requests read-only access to that company’s file (reports and balances). We do not post, pay, or close anything in QuickBooks. Tokens are stored encrypted and used only to refresh that connection and pull reports you ask for.
Chat. Desk messages are stored with the company you have open so you can continue the thread. If a language model is configured on the server, those messages may be sent to that provider to draft replies and route work to specialists. Do not paste secrets you do not want processed that way.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell client lists, QuickBooks data, or chat history. We do not use connected books to advertise to your clients.
Sharing. We share data with Intuit when you sign in with Intuit or connect a company, and with infrastructure providers that host Accountr (for example the database and the site host). They process data only to run the product.
Retention. Data stays until you delete the company or the account, or until you disconnect QuickBooks. Disconnecting stops new pulls; ask us if you need stored tokens or snapshots removed sooner.
